Our Story...

Hello Cat Lovers!

We’re the Posey family!  Five humans, a lively crew of animals, and proud residents of the Holly Springs/Fuquay-Varina community since 1999. Over the past few years, we felt a shift in the world around us and a growing desire to create something positive, welcoming, and uplifting right here at home. We kept our eyes, hearts, and minds open, waiting for the right opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

During a rare weekend getaway to Charlotte, we happened to drive past a cat café. Instantly we knew. That serendipitous moment felt like the answer we’d been searching for. A way to “be the change” and live out our passion for animal rescue.

What followed has been an exciting, exhausting, faith-filled whirlwind  but we believed in Right Meow from the very beginning. We are beyond grateful to bring the  comfort, community, and mission of Right Meow Cat Café to Southern Wake County.

We truly believe our cafe is one of the most beautiful ways to introduce people of all ages and backgrounds to these majestic creatures. There is something incredibly special about watching the “I don’t really like cats” crowd discover that cats are actually pretty amazing. We love seeing the quiet therapy that happens in their presence as the stress melts away, the laughter bubbles up, and  unexpected connections form.

We’ve watched children fall in love and become the next generation of cat advocates. We’ve seen families meet the perfect new member they didn’t even know they were missing. And we’ve seen hearts soften, perspectives shift, and community grow. All because of a few whiskers and a gentle purr.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way with advice, encouragement, resources, pep talks, and prayers. Your weekly drink stops and love you shower on the cats we adore does not go unnoticed. We couldn’t have done it without you and we can’t wait to continue this journey together. 🐾
